CBSE will conduct compartmental exams for students who want to improve their rank in CBSE Board Exams. CBSE Compartment Exam Forms are expected to be available on cbse.gov.in from June 1, 2023; applicants can fill out the form from their school or online.

CBSE Compartmental Exam 2023

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes compartmental exams for students who fail the 12th or 10th board exams. Compartment exams are held in July-August and allow students to clear failed subjects and save a year. CBSE compartmental exams are conducted for both class 10 and class 12 students. The exams are held in the same format as the regular board exams and are of the same duration. The CBSE Class 12 supplementary exams will be held from July 17, 2023, as per the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) notification. The exact dates for CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 will be announced soon on the official website cbse.gov.in.

The only difference is that students appearing for the compartmental examination will answer only the papers of the subject(s) in which they failed. With proper preparation and determination, students can easily clear their failed subject(s) and move forward in their academic journey.

How to apply for cbse.gov.in Compartment Exam 2023?

Students can apply online by visiting the cbse.gov.in website, find the “Examination” tab and click on “Department Application Form”. Download and print the application form. Follow the procedure below –

Visit the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in or cbse.nic.in and apply for the compartmental exam.

Download the application form for branch examinations.

Fill the application form with necessary details like personal details, contact details and details of the subjects you want to apply for in the entrance exam.

Submit the cbse.gov.in application form and pay the applicable fee. After filling the application form, send it to your school along with the relevant fee which is usually around Rs. 300/- per subject. Make sure you submit the form and fee within the deadline set by the CBSE board.

After submitting the application, the school will issue you an admit card for the compartmental exam. Do not forget to collect your admit card well in advance of the exam date.

CBSE has announced that the class 12th Compartment Exam will be held in July 2023. CBSE Compartment Exam Dates will be released soon on the official website cbse.gov.in. The test is given by each section student three times, once in July, once in March and once again in July of the following year. These three opportunities allow one to advance to a higher level of study. They can showcase their academic prowess and get back on track with CBSE Compartment Exam 2023.

Regular candidates who have been allotted a department by their CBSE affiliated school for the February or March 2023 Class 12 board test can register only in that department in that subject. Candidates who pass the 12th board examination in February or March 2023 through their CBSE affiliated school with six subjects divided into two subjects can enroll in one of the two courses.

CBSE Compartment Test Admit Cards will be made available separately by the Board.

For class 10 and 12 exams, private applicants can download their CBSE Compartment Admit Card from the CBSE website.

On the other hand, regular applicants have to contact their schools to get their admit card.

The date, time and venue of the exam will be mentioned on the admit card.

Only those who possess the admit card can appear for the exam.

To appear for the CBSE compartmental exams, students need to register with their respective schools or CBSE regional offices. The registration process is usually open in the month of May to June. Students have to pay a fee for taking the exams, which varies according to the number of subjects they apply for.

CBSE Compartmental Exams Preparation Tips 2023

CBSE compartmental exam preparation should start immediately after the declaration of results. Students must analyze their performance in the failed subject(s) and identify their weaknesses.

They should then focus on these areas and work on their improvement.

Students can also seek help from their teachers and classmates to prepare for exams.

They can join study groups or take online courses to better understand the subject.

Students should also practice previous years question papers and take mock exams to get a feel of real exam environment. This will help them manage their time effectively during the exam and boost their confidence.
